MAKING VISIBLE THE INVISIBLE
PEASANTS' STRUGGLE FOR LAND
ISOLATION BY DESIGN
Working in the co-construction of memory and reconciliation,
the purpose of this thesis is the creation of a ‘counter narrative’
that explains historically the geographies that have shaped the
narratives of exclusion and disparity in Colombia.
Acknowledging that the armed conflict has been produced and dramatized by the systematic socioeconomic disparities and the unbalanced
political power; through a series of ‘radical maps’ I will try to expose how the structures of power have supported privatization of the territory and the criminalization of the peasantry. I will
use this ‘radical maps’ to create a series (?) of workshops to discuss this ‘alternative perspective’ of the causes of the conflict.
This project intends to trigger a ‘new dialogue’ where through memory; action is conveyed in order to evoke a ‘right to the territory’.
